Caregiver – Direct Care Staff

Shifts Available:

• Full-Time 3^rd Shift (All Groups)
  • Health Benefits, PTO, and 401K offered (After 60 days)
  • Work hours
    • 11pm-9am (Mon – Fri)
    • 9pm – 9am (Sat & Sun) Every other weekend required

• Full-Time 2^nd Shift Caregiver/Designated Driver (Must have valid driver’s license)
  • Health Benefits, PTO, and 401K offered (After 60 days)
  • Work hours
    • Between 3pm – 11pm (Mon – Fri)
    • 9am -9pm (Sat & Sun) Every other weekend required

• POOL (Group 2 and 3)
  • On-call position, Choose from open shifts, updated weekly

Job Description

 

Essential Job Functions Includes:

• Provides regular supervision to residents of Mariah’s Family Care Home
• Regularly participates in meal planning, preparation and clean-up
• Routinely assists with household chores, as assigned
• Regularly assists in teaching home management skills; such as basic house cleaning, money management, or other areas as outlined in the Individual Service Plan
• Participates in the orientation of new residents
• Monitors all activities to ensure health, safety and individual rights of residents are maintained
• Monitors resident medications, as assigned
• Documenting and reporting daily notes (activities and other notable events) during the course of the workday
• Responding to and reporting emergency situations and/or changes in Client condition to a supervisor or team manager
• Maintaining Client confidentiality

 

Other Job Functions Include:

• May be required to transport residents in a company vehicle
• Attend training sessions as assigned or deemed mandatory
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, co-workers, and managers
• Ability to work well with other team members
• Other duties as assigned

 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs (pounds)
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule

 

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Computer experience (Microsoft Office)
• Effective communication skills; both oral and written
• Behavior management
• Ability to make good judgment calls in stressful situations

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Experience working in a residential setting preferred
• Valid Driver’s License preferred

All Locations in the Milwaukee area

Bus line accessible

Salary: $9.00 to $14.00 /hour
